Coronavirus Update 24.03.20

Coronavirus Update 24th March 2020

Following the latest update from the government with regards to the country’s fight against the coronavirus and the new measures to reduce the spread of infection announced last night, it is my responsibility to confirm that the college will move to remote learning and all learners will remain at home. Senior leaders and teaching staff will support this with telephone access.

This action has been made easier with the support of parents and carers who share the view that the best place for our learners at this time is at home with their families.

I’d like to thank you all for your support and this includes the staff at this unprecedented time and we hope this situation will be resolved quickly.

The college will continue to support our young people with their learning with home learning packs and access to telephone support for the duration of this time.   We will endeavor as soon as it is safe to do so to bring learners back to college to complete their study programs and continue their college life.

This has not been an easy decision and it is not something I envisaged having to do even a week ago but I believe it is in the best interest of everyone concerned.

I am looking  forward already to writing the message that will say we have come through this and we are ready to welcome learners and families back to college.  In the meantime please look after each other, stay safe and be kind to others.

Please continue to check the website for further updates.

 Best Wishes
