The role of the board is to evaluate curriculum planning and delivery, contribute to the College Improvement Plan, and develop and review curriculum policies as identified within the college’s review programme. It ensures that the requirements of all learners are met, reviews the impact of learners’ attendance and behavior. Governors are responsible for budget forecasting, quotations, tenders and monitoring on-going expenditure. The Governing Body has the responsibility of exercising a duty of care towards the college’s employees and consults on issues such as sickness and absence levels, recruitment, retention and health and safety.
