Admissions

At the Ridge we really do understand what a big change it is for learners when they are looking to select where they continue their education.

There are many questions at this time.  We are always looking for ways to support individual learners’ on their journey.

This year, 2021 brings us all an extra challenges and I hope that everyone associated with the Ridge and their families are safe and well at this difficult time.

Our usual transition programme for learners looking to enrol at the Ridge has been reviewed just like so many aspects around the delivery of education and many more industries.

I am aware that we have met many learners and parents previously who were interested in the college.   We have discussed aspects of what college life at the Ridge will look like but we all need reminders from time to time.   In this section we have gathered some information together that we hope will help.

If you are considering a future at The Ridge Employability College, there are several ways you can go about it.

All successful candidates must have an up to date Education health and care plan (EHCP) which is supported by your local authority.

College Transport Arrangements

Learners who may require travel assistance from September 2021 are advised that the college provided a shuttle service on college transport from 2 pickup/drop off points in Doncaster they are the Table Table car park in central Doncaster and the Rossington Park & Ride car park south Doncaster.  If any parents require Local Authority assistance from home to college please e-mail transport@doncaster.gov.uk to request a Travel Assistance Application form and this will then be reviewed by the Local Authority Travel Assistance Assessment Officer.
